Snorkeling
The Kona coast is famous for our year-round calm, clear, tropical waters. We can take you to uncrowded, unspoiled, coral reefs teeming with colorful fish. Kealakekua Bay and the Captain Cook Monument is always a highlight on our daily snorkeling tours. We provide all your snorkel gear, including a selection of prescription masks, flotation devices, and a warm fresh water shower and towel when you’re ready to get out of the water.
Dolphin or Whale Watching
Set sail and visit our local residents in their natural habitat. During the right season, witness the awe-inspiring sight of whales breaching the surface or playful dolphins racing alongside the boat. Our location provides prime opportunities to observe these marine animals up close, adding an element of wonder to your sailing experience.
Amenities
When you’re on the Moana, you won’t need anything other than a change of clothes and a light jacket if you’re sailing at sunset. You charter includes towels, reef safe sunscreen, gear for water sports, fishing, and everything you need to make it a memorable experience.
Sailing
If you’re a novice or experienced sailor, we offer the opportunity to sail in Hawaii aboard the Moana! Create a special memory when you sail across the beautiful Kona coast with an experienced crew.
Stand Up Paddleboarding
We keep two soft-top Stand Up Paddle Boards on the boat at all times. It’s great exercise and you can explore the shoreline, we just ask that you don’t venture too far from the boat. The best part is that since you can stand at full height on your board, this gives you a unique vantage point you may get lucky and see a reef turtle coming up to catch a breath or even some of our resident dolphins cruising the Kona coast.
Food & Beverages
Enjoy a taste of Hawaii with a selection of local pupus and refreshing beverages. Our standard menu includes tropical fruit platters, veggies with hummus, poke, sandwiches and freshly sautéed fish or shrimp during our sunset cruises. The Captain’s Bar offers local beers, fine wines, bubbly, crafted cocktails, juices, sodas, and sparkling water.

You can book your sailing adventure with us at any time, as long as there is availability. This includes same-day bookings. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date and time, but we're happy to accommodate last-minute plans if we have openings.

This all depends on you. If you want to see wildlife and get in the water, we suggest a minimum of 3 hours.

When you book a sailing charter with us, everything you need for a perfect day at sea is included for up to 6 guests. Your charter comes with:
All activities: sailing, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and the opportunity to spot dolphins and whale watching.
Drinks: We provide local beers, bubbly, wine, spirits, juices, sparkling water and sodas at The Captain’s Bar.
Food: Enjoy a selection of local pupus, fruit trays, poke, sandwiches or other snacks while aboard.
Equipment: All necessary gear for activities like snorkeling, stand up paddling, and fishing is provided.

Our charters set sail from the Honokohau Marina in Kailua-Kona, HI. The address to plug into your maps app is 74-380 Kealakehe Parkway, but to reach our departure point, take your first right into the marina, then stay on that road all the way until you reach our slip. You will see our sign and our boat! Please refer to the map for a clear guide to our location.

Make sure to bring your bathing suit and a change of change of clothes. If you’re venturing out to the sunset sails, a light jacket is recommended.
